In short: Sleeping Stories does not collect, store, or share any personal information. The app works entirely offline. Everything a child or parent does in the app — favourites, profiles, badges, recordings, custom stories, settings — stays only on that phone.
Sleeping Stories is a bedtime story app for children aged 3–9, available for Android and iOS. It reads stories aloud in six languages, plays picture-book sounds, and offers quizzes, badges, a sleep timer, and other extras described in the app itself.
Sleeping Stories does not collect any information about you or your child. Specifically, the app:
Some information is saved, but only in the app's private storage on the child's own phone or tablet. It is never transmitted anywhere:
This information can be exported to a single backup file (for example, before switching phones) and restored from that file. The backup file is created and read only by actions the parent takes inside the app; it is never uploaded automatically.
Sleeping Stories is designed for use by children under adult guidance, and is built to collect nothing from any user, child or adult. Because no data of any kind is collected, transmitted, or stored outside the device, none is collected from children either, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play's Families policies.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this same page with a new effective date. The app's practices will continue to be described here accurately.
